Welcome to Fishy's Grand Am page!

This site was built for people who wish to check out what I've done to my poor old car.

If you've got any content (pictures, tips, etc) that you'd like to add here, you can send it to me here.

Okay so here's the deal: over a year ago I bought a new car to replace my 1990 grand am. I kept the grand am for my wife to drive but now I want a car to tinker with so I've turned the old grand am into my 'project' car. I'm working on stripping the upper colour to repaint it. Hopefully it won't hurt to look at it anymore after that! Please pardon the shoddy picture quality as I only have a shoddy digital camera :)

here's how the project is progressing thus far:
started work june 20/03
Trunklid primed june 21/03
roof and hood primed june 23/03
right rear door and quarter primed june 29/03
right front door and fender primed aug 10/03
left rear door and quarter primed aug 16/03
left front fender primed aug 17/03
Sometime around the begining of october we made the final push and painted the car! finally she's done!

Fresh new paint!
Fresh new paint - other side

Costs: ~=$250cad for prep work supplies and $130 for paint PLUS $175 for the set of 15" alloy Sunbird rims. When I add these up in my head it seems like a decent deal considering how much better the car looks now. Now that the car looks pretty respectable for a 14 year old beater I can start the real project work! next on the To Do list are things like custom built front and rear STB's and maybe an underframe brace for the front as well... my imagination is only limited to my budget... D'OH!
